THE 2007-08 ACADEMIC YEAR

Franklin Academy began to flex its muscles during the fifth year of operation.   Administration and faculty worked diligently and creatively to address the recommendations coming out of our successful effort to secure accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.  The Level 3 program for our most able senior students came of age, we expanded to four sections of undergraduate girls in order to create better groupings from a cognitive and developmental perspective, and we offered more ambitious course selections for intersessions.  Our senior class, numbering twenty students, was our largest yet, and their successful college applications pushed the Franklin Academy total to over one hundred different colleges and universities for the first five classes of graduates.  What follows are the book awards, certificates, faculty and senior speeches, and diplomas presented at graduation.
